Which small garden tree would be appropriate for my front bed?

The bed is right beside the roof is about foot diameter it to be green all year round but thats not must have my house faces north and im in the map correctly very large id love it to be green all year.

    a dwarf japanese maple. crimson queen would be my recommendation.
